The SNIA Alliance Program: Building Strong Connections

The SNIA has built a strong Alliances program, one that establishes collaborative, working relationships with other industry associations to increase the level of integrated storage solutions in general business and IT environments. The SNIA currently has formal strategic alliances with the following organizations:

• ARMA International
• Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF)
• Eclipse Aperi Storage Management Project
• Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA)
• The Green Grid
• Open Grid Forum (OGF)

The SNIA’s alliance relationships have significant benefits to the industry as whole, including, but certainly not limited to:

• Raising IT industry awareness about trends, objectives, and progress in storage networking
• Advancing the adoption of data storage solutions across all business and technology boundaries
• Enabling different industry organizations to pool their spheres of expertise
• Reducing risk and preserving operating capital by avoiding duplicate or orthogonal work
• Developing joint programs related to technology, cooperative marketing arrangements, or other specific points of cooperation
