Key Developments Emerge from Storage Networking World
Once again, the SNIA co-hosted Storage Networking World, the world's largest and foremost storage networking event, on October 15-18, 2007, at the Gaylord Texan Resort Hotel and Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. And once again, the event was an enormous success for both attendees and the SNIA organization.
With SNIA announcements ranging from the association's expanded mission and new branding, to the formation of the Green Storage Initiative, the SNIA's notable progress was evident to attendees and non-attendees alike. Also at SNW, the organization demonstrated the first multi-vendor fixed-content solution, based on the eXensible Access Method (XAM) specification. See more about the SNIA's key announcements at Fall SNW in this special Spotlight on SNIA year-end issue of FarSighted.
As at past SNWs, during SNW Fall 2007, SNIA delivered a full agenda of activities including approximately 55 unique tutorial education sessions, main stage presentations, and Birds-of-a-Feather gatherings on key topics of interest. SNIA also hosted the popular Hands-on Lab, organized with guidance by the SNIA End User Council in conjunction with SNIA Forums and participating sponsors.
Planning for SNW Spring 2008 - being held April 7-10, 2008 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida - is already underway, so be sure to make your plans now to attend!
