SNW Europe 2007 — Information in Motion!

SNW Europe opened its doors for the fourth successive year in Frankfurt on October 29, 2007. Nearly 1,500 delegates attended the event, with 1,100 of these fulfilling the SNIA 'quality delegate' criteria - a 10% increase over 2006. 28 countries were represented in the delegate mix, while the PR program attracted 74 journalists from 18 countries, in another example of increased participation over the previous year.

The program featured in-depth training, including industry keynotes, end user panels, as well as nine parallel tracks that offered a mix of case studies, SNIA tutorials and industry hot-topics. In total, a record 120+ conference sessions were featured at SNW Europe 2007.

More than 20 European end-users presented case study material, including representatives from the Netherlands, Russia, Belgium, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and Germany. One of the top attendance draws was "Get Green & Stay Compliant," a customer panel led by Steve Duplessie, co-founder and senior analyst at ESG, which featured Steve O'Donnell of BT in the UK, Ronnie Eliahu of Nestle in Switzerland, Charles Inches of Corner Bank and chair of the SNIA Europe End User Advisory Board, and Jens Leischner, chairman of SANBoard in Germany.

Also at SNW Europe, SANBoard, the German end-user association, hosted an on-site meeting, and the SNIA held its popular Hands-on Lab. Over 50 sponsors enjoyed a successful show, with many commenting on both the quality and quantity of the attendees.

SNW Europe 2008 will again open its doors in Frankfurt from the 27th-29th of October - mark your calendars now. And don't forget, the SNIA Europe Academy program continues with events in Rome (30th November 2007) with Dubai, Zurich, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Moscow already confirmed for the new year.
