CompTIA Storage+ Powered by SNIA Invitation to participate in October SME Workshop

The SNIA is inviting IT professionals who have extensive experience running storage applications to be involved in creating our upcoming CompTIA Storage+ Powered by SNIA certification exam. This credential will be a comprehensive validation of the knowledge and skills necessary to support various solutions and technologies in data storage, storage networking, data protection, and the underlying interconnect technologies.

Recently, storage professionals were invited to participate in a beta test, and there was an outstanding response. The upcoming “cut score” workshop, taking place October 17-20, 2011, will review the beta exam results, rate the difficulty of the items, and provide input to determine a passing score. Applications from trainers, authors, or individuals who may profit or materially benefit from knowledge of the CompTIA credential content are not eligible to participate.

SMEs will receive a $300 a day stipend for the 5-day workshop, as well as meals provided during the 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. working days. Recognition for SMEs also includes listing on the CompTIA website and a CompTIA-branded item of recognition for your participation as a Subject Matter Expert, pending full participation in the program.
