SMI-S Conformance Annual Fees

The conformance test for the Storage Management Initiative Specification (SMI-S) is available for use on an annual basis for the time period of December 1st, 2011 through November 30th, 2012. Companies may submit multiple test results for any official release of the test. Benefits for tests that pass include:

  • Certificate of Conformance
  • Letter of Conformance
  • Listing of Relevant Infomation on SNIA Web Site

    • Companies that have placed orders for specific versions of the SMI-S, for example version 1.4, may still submit results based upon those orders.

    Single Software Product Testing

    This section contains the fees for testing a single SMI-S enabled software product from December 1, 2011 through November 30, 2012. Fess are based upon your company's participation in the SNIA's Storage Management Initiative as a voting member, your company's participation in the SMI Lab Program and whether this is your first time testing.

    Base price for testing a single product: $37,000

    Discounted price due to membership in the SMI Lab program: $31,450

    Discounted price due to membership in the SMI Lab program and for being a first time test participant: $27,750

    Discounted price for being an SMI voting member and being a participant in the SMI Lab program: $22,200

    Discounted price for being an SMI voting member, being a participant in the SMI Lab program and being a 1st time test participant: $18,500

    Multiple Software Product Testing

    This section contains the fees for testing more than one SMI-S enabled software product from December 1, 2011 through November 30, 2012. Fess are based upon your company's participation in the SNIA's Storage Management Initiative as a voting member, your company's participation in the SMI Lab Program and whether this is your first time testing.

    Base price for testing multiple products: $74,000

    Discounted price due to membership in the SMI Lab program: $62,900

    Discounted price due to membership in the SMI Lab program and for being a first time test participant: $55,500

    Discounted price for being an SMI voting member and being a participant in the SMI Lab program: $44,400

    Discounted price for being an SMI voting member, being a participant in the SMI Lab program and being a 1st time test participant: $37,000
