SSIF Key Management Interoperability Protocol Test Program at the SNIA Technology Center

The SNIA Storage Security Industry Forum (SSIF) Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) Test Program enables organizations with KMIP implementations in their products to test those products against test tools and other products at the SNIA Technology Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado (photo at right).

Participating in the KMIP Test Program assists your company in:

• Responding to market requirements for secure, plug-and-play storage solutions
• Positioning your company as a major industry thought-leader
• Positioning your products as leading edge, ahead of the competition
• Accelerating the adoption of the key management interoperability protocol

Both server and clients can be tested.

SNIA SSIF provides the following KMIP Test Program elements: 

• KMIP test harness development toolset (via an agreement with Cryptsoft)
• Secure, vendor-neutral test lab environment
• VPN access into secure environment
• Test ring maintenance
• Formal test monitoring
• Results auditing
• Results reporting
• Results archiving

Participating server vendors:

• Provide hardware and product installation at SNIA Technology Center
• Run tests against Cryptsoft tools
• Resolve any problems
• Schedule and execute monitored test with SNIA Staff

Participating client vendors:

• Provide setup of test across Internet / VPN
• Run tests against Cryptsoft tools
• Resolve any problems
• Schedule and execute monitored test with SNIA Staff

Pass results listed on a reporting page by company will be posted on this page.

Note:  SNIA members must join the SSIF to participate. Non-SNIA members can participate, although it is strongly suggested that you consider joining the SNIA and the SSIF.
