DMF Leadership Elections:

We are pleased to announce that we have received 5 nominations to serve on the DMF Board of Directors for a 2 year term.

New DMF Activities update:

The DeDup & Space Reduction (DDSR) SIG held its inaugural launch call last week lead by Jason Iehl (NetApp), Larry Freeman (NetApp) and Sheila Childs (EMC). The 100 Year Archive Task Force held its Phase II program launch teleconference lead by Gary Zasman (NetApp) and Rob Peglar (XIOtech) last week as well. Both meetings were attended by more than 20 people and drew interest from both SNIA member and non-member companies.. This is an exciting time for the Data Management Forum as new programs and people bring fresh energy to our activities. The strategic discussions for both of these new groups will continue on October 18th during the DMF meeting at Storage Networking World in Dallas.
