the terminology debate – Your input is needed!
We
recently started a new discussion forum on the DMF
Community specific to the proposed definitions in
the “Building a Terminology Bridge for Long-term
digital information retention” document. Your
input and opinions are needed. Comment on all the
definitions, or just the ones that are of most
interest to you and your company. Pass the Word to
others within your organization as well. All are
invited within the new DMF
Community .

and much more.

An
article titled “Multi-tier
storage saves energy, space” written by DMF
Board member Matthew Brisse of Quantum, was
featured recently online by InfoStor. It discusses
how combining energy-efficient tape, disk, and
data deduplication technology is the answer to
many storage-related energy consumption concerns.
