100 YEAR ARCHIVE STUDY: The SNIA's 100 Year Archive Task Force is a =
global,
multi-agency group working to define the business & IT requirements for =
long
term digital information retention. The definition of long term varies
significantly by company but, from a technology standpoint, current
practices are severely challenged when it comes to retaining information =
for
over 10-20 years. And, we have little ability to insure that we will be =
able
to read and use information in 50-100 years.

Now is your opportunity to gain insight and influence a key industry =
project
called the "100 Year Archive Task Force" sponsored by the Storage =
Networking
Industry Association (SNIA). If you have a concern over long term
information retention and digital archives, please help by taking the
anonymous online survey. =
