DDSR Goals and Mission
The goals of the Data Deduplication and Space Reduction SIG are to:
- Bring together a core group of companies that will work together to publicize the benefits of data deduplication and space savings technologies in data protection environments.
- Advance the market adoption of deduplication and space savings technologies
- Educate end users and the industry regarding value and best practices
Participation in this group will provide many opportunities for you and your company:
- Ground-floor leadership role in developing data deduplication and space reduction best practices and standards
- Collaboration on educational, marketing, and outreach activities
- Learn from academic and industry research, and to keep up-to-date on this rapidly-evolving area of our industry
- An opportunity to be informed, to help frame research and standards development, and to help influence projects that SNIA will undertake
