LTACSI Sub-committees

Standards & Practices Committee

 

This committee is responsible for coordinating technical activities.  It will launch a Long Term Digital Information Retention (LT-DIR) TWG focused on coordinating the definition of SD-SCDF (Self Describing – Self Contained Data Format) an eventual integration with XAM.    In addition, this committee will act as the interface to the FCAS TWG, and start evaluating OAIS integration with AIP by developing use cases and best practices.

 

100 Year Archive Committee

 

Focusing on market education, awareness and outreach will be the responsibility of this committee.  They will support events, publish articles, whitepapers and website content, establish a speaker’s bureau and build upon new and existing alliances.

 

Reference Guide Committee

 

The final 100YrATF report clearly articulated the need for a Glossary of terms and a reference model.  These two projects will fall under the scope of this committee, along with writing a MRD covering the requirements for physical and logical migration.
