the Ip Storage Forum
The SNIA IP Storage Forum (IPSF) is a marketing organization within the
Storage Networking Industry Association focused on promoting the broad
adoption of IP-based SAN storage solutions. The IPSF is composed of leading
computer, data storage and data management vendors and resellers dedicated
to providing the global IT community with vendor-neutral information,
education and exposure to IP-based SAN storage solutions
The IPSF accomplishes its mission through educational initiatives,
delivered as stand-alone seminars, seminars delivered in co-operation with
regional SNIA affiliates and Forums, events delivered in co-operation with
the SNIA End User Council and regional User Groups, and active participation
in the SNIA Tutorials sponsored by the SNIA Education Committee. The
Forum also works closely with the SNIA-Europe IP Storage Initiative, a
sister organization focused on driving the broad adoption of IP-based SAN
storage solutions in Europe through evangelism, education and
promotion.
In addition to IT education events, the Forum creates marketing collateral
materials covering different aspects of IP Storage technologies and
solutions, maintains an extensive media presence involving interviews,
opinion pieces and contributed stories, and maintains a public website for
information on the technology, solutions, vendors and products
(www.ipstorage.org).
