Testing Statistics
This page offers insight with respect to the participation in the SNIA's Conformance Testing Program. Numerous vendors have put their products through the CTP test suites to validate their conformance to the SMI-S.
The left most column has a list of the testing areas that the program has developed. The four right most columns show the values associated with key metrics of the program.
Click on the Test Areas in the left-hand column to go to a list of participating vendors for each test area.
See the bottom of this page to understand how the participation numbers are calculated and determined.

- Number of Participating Companies: This is the number of companies that have participated in a version of the test.
- Number of Tests Completed: This is the number of test results submissions for a particular version of the test. Many companies opt to test at a particular version level multiple times as they update their software.
- Number of Conformant Software Products: This is the number of software products that have been put through the various tests. The larger companies, for example, my have multiple provider products to be tested.
- Number of Conformant Hardware Products: This is the number of hardware products that can be managed by the provider software.
- Summary Row Notes: This is NOT always a total of the values in the column!

- The Number of Participating Companies is the total number of companies which have participated in any testing. Many companies test in multiple test areas so this is NOT a total of the column.
- The Number of Tests Completed is a total for this column.
- The Number of Conformant Software Products represents the total number of individual software products, based upon its name, that have tested in the program. This is NOT a total of the column as a software product many have tested in, for example, both the 1.0 and 1.1 SMI-Client tests.
- The Number of Conformant Harware Products represents the total number of individual hardware product models that have tested in the program. This is NOT a total of the column as a hardware product model, for example, may have been tested for both the 1.0 and 1.1 SMI-Provider tests.
