SNIA-CTP SMI-Client TestThe SNIA-CTP's SMI-Client test has been released in two phases. Phase I was designed to take the client software through an extensivediscovery of the SAN.A discovery is very similar to an inventory which might be performed by an end user for year-end audit purposes. The discovery test had the participating companies determine such information as the manufacturername and model number of a particualr piece of hardware. In addition, the discovery took the participant through practical day to day exercises such as determining the configured storage within an array or fabric.
