Member BenefitsThe Storage Security Industry Forum agenda builds on successes of the past three years. End-user education around the world (through seminars, webinars, SNIA tutorials, industry events, and NEW Storage Security hands-on labs for IT professionals) remains a primary focus. The SSIF continues to create collateral, articles, deployment case studies, and technology positioning materials that complement member companies’ individual marketing initiatives and materials. In addition, with the SNIA Security Technical Working Group, we leverage our holistic view of storage security through interactions with industry standardization activities. SSIF Storage Security EducationThe Storage Networking Industry Association has established SNIA Education to expand educational opportunities and options available to end users and the IT industry worldwide. Leveraging SNIA strengths and successes of SNIA Education Provider members and the SNIA Technology Center, SNIA Education delivers value to the storage networking industry through certifications, sales qualification testing, education framework, tutorials and booklets, the SNIA Dictionary, the SNIA Technology Center, road shows, workshops and conferences. Current SNIA Storage Security Information Booklets include: International Promotion of Storage SecuritySNIA is a global industry association committed to the advancement of storage networking worldwide. As part of that commitment, a dedicated International Committee interfaces with regional affiliates around the world. The International Committee coordinates activities to ensure that the SNIA vision, mission and strategy are consistent worldwide. The Forum works with the International Committee to promote security understanding across international considerations. SNIA Storage Security knowledge is delivered worldwide: Security Technical Working GroupThe SNIA Security Technical Working Group (Security TWG) provides the primary technical focus of the SNIA on storage security issues. The Security TWG coordinates with the SNIA Storage Security Industry Forum and is the primary interface between the SNIA and other standards organizations working on storage security technologies. The Security TWG delivers technical requirements that have been defined as part of their activities to external standards groups. |
