Solid State Storage Initiative Programs

SSSI has launched a number of programs in support of the group's mission to foster the growth and success of the market for solid state storage in both commercial and consumer environments.

• The Understanding SSD Performance Project educates users about how to use the SSS PTS to make intelligent decisions about SSD performance.
• A SSS Performance Test Specification (PTS) Testing Service where interested parties may submit their SSD products for testing to the SSS Performance Test Specification is available. 
• The SSSI Workload I/O Capture Program (WIOCP) is a safe and thoroughly tested tool specifically designed to be safely downloaded and used with corporate PCs - which runs unobtrusively in the background to constantly capture a large array of SSD IO statistics.
• The SNIA Non Volatile Memory (NVM) Programming Technical Work Group (TWG) delivers specifications describing the behavior of a common set of software interfaces that provide access to non-volatile memory (NVM). The NVM Programming TWG goal is to encourage a common ecosystem for NVM-enabled software without limiting the ability to innovate.
