SSSI has the following subcommittees:
SSSI Business Development Subcommittee
The Business Development Subcommittee is responsible for all activities related to expanding the SSSI business, such as member status and recruitment, and revenue reviews. In addition to SSSI membership campaigns, this subcommittee is responsible for identifying, managing and promoting upcoming events as well revenues associated with event sponsorships. This subcommittee collaborates with the SSSI Marketing Subcommittee on event collateral and message positioning of SSSI with new members.
SSSI Marketing Subcommittee
This subcommittee is responsible for planning and managing SSSI related marketing, PR activities and events (e.g., SNW) and activities (e.g., requirements collection). This subcommittee manages a budget and activities that are schedule driven (e.g., producing a MRD and supporting SSSI activities at SNWs and is also responsible for all outbound communications between the Initiative and the SNIA Marketing Department.
SSSI Education Subcommittee
The SSSI Education Subcommittee is responsible for providing and delivering educational content for solid state storage, including: technology; systems architecture; industry trends, usage, and best practices; reliability and performance; and consumer offerings. SNIA Tutorials, white papers and articles will be the primary vehicles used. Our goal is to ensure general market understanding of solid state storage in enterprise and consumer applications. This subcommittee will work closely with the SNIA Education Subcommittee.
SSSI Technical Development Subcommittee
The SSSI Technical Development Subcommittee is responsible for identifying the technical work that is needed to develop SSSI-related specifications. This subcommittee works closely with the SSSI Education and Marketing subcommittees to drive widespread adoption of solid state storage devices. It also manages the technical aspects of alliances with outside standards and/or industry organizations, working closely with the Technical Council and SSS TWG relative to all specification/standards work.
