Workload TerminologyAve: Average Value Fresh Out of Box (FOB): The condition of a new/unused SSD when first received from the manufacturer. SSDs that are FOB exhibit a short period of higher performance which then levels off to a relatively sustained level of performance called Steady State. KiB: Block Sizes used in the SSS PTS are in units of KiB (kibibyte), where 1 kibibyte equals 1024 bytes, rather than KB (kilobyte), where 1 kilobyte equals 1000 bytes. This usage correlates with the drive logical block/sector sizes, which are typically 512 bytes (0.5 KiB) or 4096 bytes (4 KiB). Max: Maximum Value R: Read from the SSD RND: Random, non-sequential reads or writes to the SSD SEQ: Sequential reads or writes to the SSD Steady State: Operational state of a SSD in which the performance is relatively consistent under a prescribed workload. W: Write to the SSD
