The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) are changing the way businesses perform eDiscovery - you can't ignore it!

Storage and IT managers are quickly becoming experts in e-discovery due to the recent amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedures (FRCP), which require that parties locate information that is "reasonably accessible."  This requirement, coupled with explosive data growth, requires that organizations look at new ways to solve this problem.  XAM is one way to address these new challenges.

Here are some resources on this very important topic:

  • December 2005 version of the full FRCP regulation provided by the US House of Representatives
  • Wikipedia reference to FRCP
  • Getting Up to Speed on FRCP
  • FRCP Tip Sheet
  • Legal Information Institute, Cornell University
  • Records & Information Management Approaches to the New Federal Rules (delivered at Enterprise Information World)
  • FRCP Relating to eDiscovery
