XAM Plugfest RegistrationJoin Us for our next plugfest December 8 - 12, 2008 The SNIA XAM Initiative exists to drive the adoption of the eXtensible Access Method (XAM) specification. The Initiative is building and serving a XAM community that includes storage vendors, independent software vendors (ISV), and end users to ensure that the specification fulfills market needs for a fixed content data management interface standard. These needs include interoperability, information assurance (security), storage transparency, long-term records retention and automation for Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)-based practices. The XAM Initiative is developing the XAM Plugfest Program to assist ISV and Storage companies in developing and implementing XAM based Storage System and ISV application products. The program is being implemented to provide an environment for managing and coordinating companies' development efforts for interoperability testing between ISV and Storage companies, implementation of the XAM SDK and delivering XAM compliant products to market. The upcoming plugfests will focus on assisting ISV companies with implementing XAM and interoperability testing between ISV and Storage companies. The plugfest is open to all ISV companies, whether they are member of the SNIA or not. The below provides an overview of the objectives of the plugfest: ISV Objectives
