SCSI Trade Association (STA)

The SCSI Trade Association (STA) was established in 1996 to provide a focal point for members to communicate the benefits of SCSI to the industry. STA promotes the understanding and use of Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) technology and influences the evolution of SCSI standards to meet future industry needs.

The STA recognizes the SNIA as a key industry association involved in the development of standards for storage and storage networking technologies. As such the STA alliance facilitates both STA input into the SNIA activities as they relate to SCSI and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) technology and SNIA input into STA activities as they relate to Storage and Storage Networking.

The SNIA similarly recognizes that STA represents expertise in the area of SCSI and SAS technologies as used in storage networking as well as being a key industry association involved in the development of marketing requirements for coordinating with the T10 standards organization, and wishes to facilitate SNIA input into STA activities and STA input into SNIA SCSI and SAS related activities.

SNIA and STA will collaborate on education and marketing outreach for SCSI and SAS, which will include joint whitepapers and website links from one organization to the other (public domains only).
