SNIA Swordfish® v1.2.7 Working Draft is Now Available for Public Review
|
|
SNIA’s Storage Management Initiative (SMI) is pleased to announce that the SNIA Swordfish® v1.2.7 Working Draft is now available for public review. Swordfish provides a standardized approach to manage storage and servers in hyperscale and cloud infrastructure environments, making it easier for IT administrators to integrate scalable solutions into their data centers.
Swordfish v1.2.7 has been released in preparation for DMTF’s Redfish® version 2024.2, enabling DMTF and SNIA to jointly deliver new functionality. The release features expanded functionality for Configuration Locking, a new Swordfish Interoperability Guide, and enhanced Swordfish Features Registry to support resource-level features. Cloud Object Storage Plugfest

We are excited to announce the upcoming Cloud Object Storage Plugfest, co-located with the SNIA Developer Conference (SDC), in September 2024. This initiative represents an opportunity for industry innovators to collaborate and enhance interoperability among private and public cloud object storage solutions. We've already received preliminary confirmations from some of the hyperscaler cloud providers, prominent on-premises object storage implementors, and client-side vendors. If your organization is developing S3-compatible object storage or develops software that utilizes object storage in any use case, your contribution would be invaluable.
