New Parallel Traces Added to the SNIA IOTTA Repository
The SNIA IOTTA Trace Repository recently added a new set of "Parallel Traces" that reflect parallel activity in a high-performance cluster.
The “Thesios Synthetic” traces (2.53 billion records over 2 months in 2024) are unique in that they are representative I/O traces synthesized by combining down-sampled I/O traces collected from multiple disks (HDDs) attached to multiple storage servers in a Google distributed storage system.
Established and maintained by the SNIA “Input/Output Traces, Tools, and Analysis Technical Work Group (IOTTA TWG),” the SNIA IOTTA Repository is a worldwide repository for storage related I/O trace files, associated tools, and other related information.
