ISO Acceptance of Latest Updates to Storage Management Initiative Specification
SNIA recently announced the international adoption of the SMI Specification (SMI–S) v1.5 by the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission is another important standard to the international lineup of the SMI–S Spec. Don’t Miss the December SMI–Lab Plugfest
The SMI–Lab, an industry–wide collaborative effort to help companies accelerate the development and implementation of SMI–S products and to pass the SMI–S Conformance Test Program, recently held their fourth Plugfest of the year which included on–site representation from multiple leading vendors. The Storage Management Initiative (SMI) continues to grow, welcoming its newest members VMTurbo and Pure Storage. Now 24 members strong, this group of leading vendors continues to work toward the creation of interoperable management standard interfaces for multi–vendor storage networking products See the full list of vendors working on this effort.

SNIA Thanks Expert Contributors to New Certification Exam
SNIA has recently completed the item writing phase (JTA and Item Writing) for the new certification exam. The refresh project is on track for our projected launch date of January 15th 2016.
SNIA would like to recognize a long list of subject matter experts who participated in the recent workshops. It was particularly pleasing to see so many of our international colleagues take part in this exercise, some of whom got very little sleep as a result!
On behalf of the storage industry we thank you all for your commitment, dedication, and expertise. You have made an immensely valuable contribution to our industry by advancing the quality and content of this certification.
