SNIA Announces Version 1.0 Release of the Computational Storage Architecture and Programming Model

SNIA membership has voted to approve the SNIA Computational Storage Architecture and Programming Model as an official SNIA specification. Version 1.0 is publicly available at www.snia.org/csarch. The Model has received industry accolades, recently winning the Flash Memory Summit 2022 Best of Show Award for Most Innovative Memory Technology. Reliability Traces Added to the SNIA IOTTA Repository
|
|
The SNIA IOTTA Trace Repository recently added an ongoing set of reliability records collected by Backblaze, Inc. The nine-year dataset collection currently includes 306 million records.
Records were collected daily, each giving S.M.A.R.T. data from a drive in a large disk farm. Failed drives are noted, so that cross-population trends can be evaluated.
Established and maintained by the SNIA “Input/Output Traces, Tools, and Analysis Technical Work Group (IOTTA TWG)”, the SNIA IOTTA Repository is a worldwide repository for storage-related I/O trace files, associated tools, and other related information.
