An Update on Accelerated Object Storage for AI/ML

AI innovation is accelerating at an unprecedented pace, creating new pressure on how object storage delivers data to high‑performance compute and GPU environments. To meet these demands, the industry is increasingly turning to RDMA-based approaches that dramatically reduce latency and boost throughput for object storage workloads.

The SNIA Accelerated Object I/O Technical Working Group was formed to define interoperable specifications for this emerging class of high‑speed object access. In this session, we will share a vendor perspective on what’s driving these changes, the technical and ecosystem challenges ahead, and how SNIA aims to shape the standards and accelerate industry adoption.
