SAS Plugfest

About the Plugfest

September 27–30 | Santa Clara, CA

Join the SNIA STA community for a hands-on Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Plugfest, co-located with the SNIA Developer Conference (SDC). This collaborative interoperability event brings together industry leaders to test, validate, and improve SAS implementations in a secure, vendor-neutral environment.

Why Participate?

The SAS Plugfest provides a unique opportunity to:

  • Validate interoperability across multi-vendor SAS devices and components
  • Identify and resolve integration issues early
  • Collaborate directly with peers, partners, and technical experts
  • Accelerate time to market with improved product quality and reliability
  • Test against the latest SAS standards and emerging implementations, such as but not limited to:
    • New HDD features (CDL, Depop, SMR, ZBC, SCSI to ATA translation, SCSI to NVMe translation)
    • New SSD features
    • SAS challenges for integration (power management, zoning)
    • Large-build stress testing
    • New features enabled by SBC-5

What to Expect

Planning calls will begin this spring, to develop and discuss test plans, based on participant interest as indicated in our earlier survey. Initial planning calls will be open but will soon shift to be under NDA-only as detailed planning gets underway.

Confidential Testing Environment

To enable open collaboration, all participants are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This ensures a trusted environment where companies can share results, troubleshoot issues, and work together without concern for public disclosure.
