Joseph Chen is the CEO at ULINK Technology. He has worked on the design and development of HDD’s and SSD’s supporting a variety of interfaces including NVMe, SATA, and SAS. He has also participated in defining TCG Opal specifications, as well as developing and testing TCG Opal hardware and firmware. Joseph was the Director of Engineering at Samsung SSD and HDD, Director of Engineering at Cirrus Logic, and Oak Technology.
This is an overview of the new standards work being defined in the storage work group of the TCG. This includes overview of the TCG Opal SSC, SIIS (Storage Interface Interactions Specifications), Configurable Namespace Locking, and Key Per IO. The session may also touch upon some of the enhancements being worked on in the work group such as Settable Trylimits and Persistence feature set.
