SNIA Developer Conference September 15-17, 2025 | Santa Clara, CA

Principal SoC Architect

AMD (Advanced Micro Devices)

Dr. Pulkit Jain is a memory architect at AMD where he is driving the memory subsystem of FPGA based adaptive SoCs. Before this he was at Intel where he also drove design and new architectures centered around in-package memory and system caches. Pulkit pursued his BTech from IIT Kanpur and Ph.D from University of Minnesota in EE. Pulkit is a senior IEEE member and has contributed to the semiconductor research community through around 30 authored/coauthored papers, >500 citations and 7 patent disclosures.

Grokking Lossless Data Compression

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

Emerging Deep Learning/ Machine learning and cloud native Applications at data center scale demand terabytes of data flowing across the storage/ memory hierarchy, straining interconnect bandwidth and component capacities. The Industry has responded with a wide range of solutions like process node shrink, higher capacity devices, new tiers, innovative form factors, new interconnect technologies and fabrics, new types of compute architectures, new algorithms and more to creatively leverage storage/memory tiering.
