Position on Biosecurity Regulation for DNA Data Storage Version 1.0
The DNA Data Storage Alliance (DDSA) has been reviewing the biosecurity requirements for DNA data storage in the context of regulatory policy for DNA created by these systems. This document provides the DDSA’s initial assessment of, and proposed contribution to, ongoing biosecurity policy discussions in the United States and the European Union, including the forthcoming European Biotech Act and its public consultation process.
