Trusted Computing Group (TCG)

The Trusted Computing Group (TCG) is a not-for-profit organization formed to develop, define, and promote open standards for hardware-enabled trusted computing and security technologies, including hardware building blocks and software interfaces, across multiple platforms, peripherals, and devices. TCG specifications will enable more secure computing environments without compromising functional integrity, privacy, or individual rights. The primary goal is to help users protect their information assets (data, passwords, keys, etc.) from compromise due to external software attack and physical theft.

TCG recognizes the SNIA as a key industry association involved in the development of standards, education, and marketing outreach for storage and storage networking technologies. As such TCG wishes to ally with SNIA in order to facilitate both TCG input into the SNIA activities as they relate to trusted systems and SNIA input into TCG activities as they relate to Storage and Storage security for trusted systems.

The SNIA recognizes that TCG represents expertise in the area of trusted computing building blocks and software interfaces across multiple platforms.  The SNIA wishes to facilitate SNIA input relative to storage-security into TCG activities and TCG input into SNIA storage-security systems related activities.
