The SNIA Cloud Data Management Interface (ISO/IEC 17826) provides a rich set of functionality for data and namespace management. As an HTTP-based RESTful interface, CDMI allows for easy integration into web-based applications. This presentation describes the steps required to natively use CDMI from a JavaScript-based web application, and discusses how standardization work underway to enable the management of S3-style buckets also enables web-native data management applications to be delivered by a CDMI server.
