Chet has architected & authored significant portions of the CXL spec including the CXL 2.0 CCI mailbox interface, CXL Driver Writers Guide, CXL RAS whitepaper, CXL 3.0 Dynamic Capacity for memory pooling/sharing, the CXL 3.1 Trusted Security Protocol (TSP) for confidential computing with CXL.mem, and CXL 3.2 TSP additions for HDM-DB and CXL.cache support.

In this presentation, we will present the architecture of CXL memory in Windows and describe the support that will be available. We will describe the possible usages of CXL memory, the RAS workflows and the developer interfaces available to use CXL memory.

InfiniBand/RoCE RDMA Specification Update

The first phase of the IBTA Memory Placement Extensions (MPE), supporting low-latency RDMA access to persistent memory on Infiniband and RoCE networks, was published in August. In this talk, the MPE will be introduced, motivations for the additions discussed, and performance advantages of the MPE over current techniques will be reviewed. In addition to the these new MPE protocol enhancements in the new specification, additional operations, currently under development and planned for the next version, will also be presented.
