SNIA Developer Conference September 15-17, 2025 | Santa Clara, CA

Distinguished Technologist -- President / SPDM WG Co-chair

HP Labs -- DMTF

This session will cover an update on DMTF's SPDM (Security Protocol & Data Model), including their strategy to support PQC (Post Quantum Cryptography). DMTF is adding bindings for storage (NVMe, SAS & SATA) as well as TCP and those will be covered as well for encryption of data in flight. Also covered will be updates to SPDM as well as the current roadmap of future releases.

SPDM PQC & Authorization

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

DMTF’s Security Protocol and Data Model (SPDM) protocol is a widely used set of standards that enable secure communication and device authentication for platform-level security. This session will give an update on major developments by the SPDM Working Group, and where the group is going over the next year.

Redfish Ecosystem for Storage

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

DMTF’s Redfish® is a standard API designed to deliver simple and secure management for converged, hybrid IT and the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC). This presentation will provide an overview of DMTF’s Redfish standard. It will also provide an overview of HPE’s implementation of Redfish, focusing on their storage implementation and needs. HPE will provide insights into the benefits and challenges of the Redfish Storage model, including areas where functionality added to SNIA™ Swordfish is of interest for future releases.

DMTF Redfish® for Storage Management

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

DMTF Redfish® is now a very fully featured management ecosystem for server management, but what about storage? Isn’t that Swordfish? Well, actually …
While Swordfish provides the storage-centric functionality, it leverages all of its base functionality from Redfish. Storage users and implementers can take advantage of the latest features in Redfish directly, including:
• Fabric support for CXL, supporting Swordfish and Sunfish
• Enhanced audit logging
• Enhanced metrics instrumentation
• Enhanced modeling for thermal and cooling, SKU management
