Storage and Computing with DNA 2026
Join us in Rome, Italy for Storage and Computing with DNA, May 27-29, 2026. This year’s event is jointly sponsored by the SNIA DNA Data Storage Alliance and the European Innovation Council’s DigNA Pathfinder Initiative.    

SNIA Swordfish^® for DNA Data Storage Working Draft Available for Public Review
The initial draft of the SNIA Swordfish^® for DNA Data Storage model and mockups is available for review. The model describes how the Swordfish API may be used to manage and monitor DNA Data Storage systems.

The Storage Management and DNA Data Storage Communities encourage the public to provide feedback here. 

SNIA Cloud Object Storage Plugfest Expands Online
The SNIA Cloud Storage Technologies Community is pleased to announce the expansion of its successful SNIA Cloud Object Storage Plugfest program. In addition to our face-to-face Plugfest at SDC’26, we will host three online plugfests, providing additional opportunities to expedite interoperability testing among cloud object storage solutions. The first online plugfest starts on February 9.

SNIA SMB3 Interoperability (IO) Lab EMEA
SNIA is pleased to host the 2026 SNIA SMB3 IO Lab EMEA, April 21–23, in Goettingen, Germany, immediately following SambaXP April 20–21, 2026.
The IO Lab provides a collaborative forum for vendors to test SMB3 implementations, identify and fix issues, and work together toward interoperable products.
