SC25 in St. Louis was an exciting and productive week for the SNIA STA community, highlighting continued innovation in Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and the strength of our member companies. With a full exhibition hall, steady booth traffic, and several SAS product announcements, this year’s conference reinforced the critical role SAS plays in today’s data-intensive and AI-driven storage environments.

SC25 at a Glance

  • 16,000+ attendees from around the globe
  • 550+ exhibitors and sponsors
  • 20+ hours of exhibition hall time
  • Strong promotions across email and social media
  • Countless opportunities to connect with decision-makers, peers, and future partners

Inside the STA Kiosk

At the SNIA Open Standards Pavilion, the STA kiosk spotlighted products from Teledyne LeCroy, Amphenol, and Microchip, alongside the SAS roadmap and the growing 24G SAS ecosystem. These product displays drew visitors ranging from university researchers to industry engineers, plus plenty of curious students completing scavenger hunts who ended up staying to learn about SAS and technology standards.

A special thank-you goes to STA board members Jeremiah Tussey (Microchip) and Rick Kutcipal (Broadcom) for their support throughout the week.

SAS Momentum: Member Products at the Show

SC25 also served as a launchpad and showcase for SAS solutions across the STA community.

AIC
AIC, in partnership with ATTO, announced new SAS solutions, expanding options for high-performance, scalable storage.

Seagate
Seagate brought strong SAS representation to the show with its Exos 4U74 and Exos 4U100 platforms. Both SAS-4 JBOD systems are designed to support SATA HDDs, SAS HDDs, and 24G SAS SSDs. Their presence underscored a key SC25 theme: SAS continues to be a critical backbone for scale-out storage where reliability, predictable performance, and high-capacity drives matter.

Western Digital
Western Digital showcased SAS drives in their booth, demonstrating continued support for SAS in enterprise storage environments.

Across the show floor, many STA members—including AIC, Broadcom, Celestica, IBM, Intel, Seagate, Western Digital, and more—highlighted SAS-based solutions.

Looking Ahead

SC25 demonstrated that SAS remains a resilient, adaptable, and essential part of the storage landscape, especially as data centers scale to support AI and other high-growth workloads. Thank you to all STA members who contributed to our presence at the show and helped amplify the value of SAS technology.

We look forward to carrying this momentum into 2026 and continuing to support the community through standards, education, collaboration, and ecosystem development.
