Abstract

Persistent Memory is a new type of storage devices with merges data persistency offered by traditional storage devices with byte-addressability and access latencies close to DRAM devices. This presentation describes Persistent Memory over Fabric (PMoF), an extension to RDMA to allow for data replicated and stored in persistent memory. This presentation describes various techniques implemented in PMoF to ensure persistency of the data and to maximize performance of the replication process, then discusses extensions to Non-Volatile Memory Library (NVML) to make it easy for applications to use PMoF.

NVML is a library developed by Intel to help application developers to better explore possibilities that Persistent Memory brings.
