CMS Marketing Committee

The CMS Marketing Committee is responsible for planning and managing CMS related marketing, PR activities and events and activities (e.g., requirements collection). This committee manages a budget and activities that are schedule driven (e.g., producing a MRD and supporting CMS activities at trade shows and is also responsible for all outbound communications.

The CMS Marketing Committee takes the leadership role in education, responsible for providing and delivering educational content for solid state storage, persistent memory, and computational storage, including technology, systems architecture, industry trends, usage, and best practices; reliability and performance; and consumer offerings. SNIA videos and tutorials, SNIA BrightTalk presentations, white papers and articles deliver this information to the public, with the goal to ensure general market understanding of these technologies in enterprise and consumer applications.

CMS Solid State Drive (SSD)
Special Interest Group (SIG)

The CMS SSD SIG is chartered to provide guidance to the marketplace on SSDs. This can take the form of educational materials, best practices documents and SNIA standards. The SIG coordinates with other industry organizations involved in SSD-related activities.

The SIG will stay consistent with the messaging developed by these organizations and do not reinvent materials, when such materials already exist and are accessible. Details on their programs and activities is at https://www.snia.org/forums/...

CMS Persistent Memory (PM) Special Interest Group (SIG)

The CMS PM SIG is chartered to accelerate the awareness and adoption of Persistent Memory (PM) and Non-Volatile Dual In-line Memory Modules (NVDIMMs) for computing architectures. Details on their programs and activities is at https://www.snia.org/forums/cmsi...

CMS Computational Storage (CS)
Special Interest Group (SIG)

The CMS Computational Storage SIG is chartered to evangelize SNIA's technical work in computational storage, including developing white papers and webcasts and speaking at SNIA and industry events. Details on their programs and activities is at https://www.snia.org/computational
