Your Motivation for Seeking This Seat

I’m a true believer in SNIA since SNIA Europe was launched in 2001 especially in standard specification and education activities. I dedicated a lot of time during the last decade and like to continue to collaborate and contribute to the global effort for interoperability and technologies adoption. This is the time for a new step for me after SNIA France and Europe positions and I wish to actively participate in the heart of the association. I see this as a natural evolution in term of SNIA but also in term of career path. I think I have the right position within Scality to say that my professional role converges with SNIA role.

This candidacy is fully supported by my management (my direct manager, Giorgio Regni, Scality CTO and Jerome Lecat, CEO) who understands the key role of SNIA in the industry and CDMI especially as we adopted it and promoted it all the time.

My desire is to continue the good work started more than 10 years ago at a different level and the momentum initiated by the current board of directors. My ambition is to contribute in various areas:

  1. International with the need to promote the role, activities, content and standards developed and specified by the SNIA.
  2. CDMI and the role of the standard in the industry with a need to penetrate various communities such as end-users, integrators and emerging and established vendors.
  3. Education to continue the good job made by members to create new independent content and the need to deliver that contribution in many different medium.
  4. Standard effort and promotion especially CDMI and others. The interaction and partnership with other associations are key for standard adoption.
  5. European Union with actions around standards, practices and regulations such data protection.
  6. and finally promote the SNIA as a whole with member recruitment and invite technology companies to join the association.

Scality is fully committed to support my candidacy for the SNIA Board of Directors with dedicated time to participate to the SNIA activities and duty. I also consider this is as a natural step following strong commitment towards SNIA globally since 2001.
