Fondest Memories of the SNIA:

By far – interactions with all the great people over my 2+ decades serving the SNIA.  Any organization like this is the sum of its people – and it’s been an honor to work with so many of them.  My term of service as the SNIA Tutorial Chair and being able to lead and mentor 90+ Tutorial authors is especially fulfilling.

Proudest Moments while Active with the SNIA:

Serving on the Board of Directors for two terms, presenting SNIA material at umpteen conferences, seminars and webcasts (especially Tutorials at SNW) and helping to spearhead the creation of the Persistent Memory group.  Truth be told, all my joy at having served the SNIA are always related to the great people of the SNIA and the larger storage community.

SNIA's Greatest Achievements:

SNIA has established itself as the worldwide “go-to” organization for nearly everything related to data storage.  Since its formation, lo these many years ago, it has been a voice for the entire storage community as well as a technically astute set of leaders and contributors, especially in the area of vendor-neutral education.  SNIA has a very bright future, and its greatest achievement is being able to continually adapt and create new significant initiatives and standards in an ever-changing world of technology.
