Abstract
Intel Storage Technology Enablement Architect Richelle Ahlvers, Vice-Chair of SNIA’s Board of Directors and Chair of SNIA’s Storage Management Initiative, will speak May 9th at 11:00 am ET at the BrightTALK Modern Storage Management Summit. The presentation, “Why Storage Management Standards Matter in Complex Virtualized Environments,” explores how cloud storage providers and enterprise datacenter developers can more effectively utilize virtualization and acceleration technologies with standards-based management. Richelle will review the latest technologies in storage for virtualization, acceleration, and fabrics and the challenges these create for management at scale. She will then talk about what organizations are delivering standards-based management and discuss open-source projects delivering value-add using standards-based management and how these can most effectively address the management challenges for complex scale-out management environments.
