Abstract
Data storage security focuses on protecting storage devices and the data assets, sensitive or otherwise, stored on them. The infrastructure today is diverse so those assets can be found on-premise, in external data centers, in the cloud, and on edge network devices and sensors.
These critical data assets are increasingly exposed to deliberate damage or deletion from cyber criminals but also unauthorized users or simple user errors. It’s an area of critical importance to enterprises because the majority of cyber attacks are not designed to simply breach networks or servers, the purpose is to access the data.
Data storage security in 2022 will be transformed by a combination of new security technologies and principles, enforced by significant changes in ISO standards that will evolve from guidance documents to compliance requirements.
SNIA is establishing this one-day virtual conference to bring together storage security professionals and subject matter experts across the storage and security industries for the purpose of awareness and education in the changes that will take place over the coming months.
