Fondest Memories of the SNIA:

Turning my hotel room into the first Internet WBEM demonstration “war room.” Many colleagues from Compaq, EMC, HDS, IBM, Microsoft, StorageTek, and Sun “camped out” (in person and via mobile phone) until the prototype was complete. Beyond the opportunity to work with so many great people in our industry are the lasting personal friendships nurtured during social occasions.

Proudest Moments while Active with the SNIA:

The customer reach of the marketing and technical contributions I’ve been associated with has been very rewarding. I’m proud to have contributed white papers, certification material, and extensible specifications whose long “shelf-life” attest to their practical value.

SNIA's Greatest Achievements:

SNIA provides a “virtual corporation” where talented individuals in our industry can cooperatively work for the common good. While sustainable value reflects objectives shared across vendors and consumers of their offerings, temporary distortions are inevitable in the marketplace. SNIA provides the leading forum for education, training, interoperability, and standards, which consumers, analysts, and vendors can trust.
