  • The friendships that I made with SNIA Board members as well as the SNIA Staff
  • Time spent with SNIA Board members and SNIA staff during all of our board meetings, symposiums, conferences, and international delegations
  • Board delegation that went to Japan where we were treated like royalty by our Japanese members
  • Time spent working in SNIA’s San Francisco office

Proudest Moments while Active with the SNIA:

  • Being elected SNIA Director four times
  • Being elected SNIA Secretary four times
  • Founding and chairing the Solid State Storage Initiative (SSSI)
  • Chairing the Supported Solutions Forum (SSF) and successfully creating numerous multi-vendor storage solutions

SNIA's Greatest Achievements:

  • Every SNW when the entire SNIA organization and ComputerWorld came together as a team to host the only industry conference dedicated to storage networking
  • Getting the fiercest storage competitors to work together, side by side, for the benefit of the storage marketplace
  • Establishing SNIA as the Storage Networking Authority
  • All of the SNIA Tutorials which were developed by volunteers on their own time and delivered to audiences at SNW as well as other events
  • Establishing the Technology Center in Colorado Springs
