Abstract

A standard for interoperable key management exists but what actually happens when you try to use products and key management solutions from multiple vendors? Does it work? Are any benefits gained? Practical experience from implementing the OASIS Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) and from deploying and interoperability testing multiple vendor implementations of KMIP form the bulk of the material covered.
