Abstract
The expansion of the VNA (Vendor-Neutral-Archive) into the Medical Storage field is expanding way beyound the need of PACS Storage Infrastructure. Clinical Medical storage is a very fast growing need that has several long term problems which involve the depth of the solution, but also have a horizontal need which is spanning way beyound the needs of an Imaging Department (Radiology and Cardiology). This presentation will dig into the other "ologies" which will be confronting the I.T. infrastucture and how the use of a VNA can resolve or provide the glue that inables us to grow our systems both accross many different applications and data types, but also build a storage system that respond to ILM rules and policies which allow us to "downsize", re-use and scale the solution to better fit our needs.
