The SNIA Announces its 2008 Board of Directors

Dallas, TX (October 15, 2007) - The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) is pleased to announce its 2008 Board of Directors responsible for the SNIA worldwide. The SNIA's membership elected the Board of Directors, and the Board elected their Executive Committee officers and appointed one At-Large member to serve a one-year term at the Storage Networking World Fall 2007 conference being held in Dallas, Texas.

“As we celebrate the SNIA's 10-year anniversary and an expansion of our mission and vision to empower organizations in the management of information, we have established a very strong Board of Directors to help execute on these new activities," said Vincent Franceschini, Chairman of the SNIA. "While we have made strong progress, this Board is looking ahead to build upon our success and help provide the education, technology, best practices and industry leadership that all members of the industry can benefit from.”

The 2008 SNIA Board of Directors and their roles are:

The SNIA Board is charged with oversight of the association's vision and mission and ensuring that tangible value accrues to member companies. Board members address issues such as strategic planning, membership development, marketing and public relations, technical output, operational planning, and provide oversight and leadership to the SNIA's many technical forums, committees, and work groups.
