San Francisco, Calif. (February 18, 2009) — The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) today announced it is accepting speaking proposals for its 2009 Storage Developer Conference (SDC) to be held September 14–17, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Santa Clara, CA. SDC provides the information and know–how to further advance solutions with features that shorten time to market for a developed solution, increase acceptability and interoperability in production environments and help participants understand where storage technologies are heading. In addition, plans are being finalized for the CIFS, SMB and SMB2 plugfest.
Now in its sixth year, and again expected to draw more than 350 attendees participating in over 50 sessions in multiple tracks, SDC is the only event created by storage developers for storage developers. The SNIA is currently accepting proposals for 50-minute presentations, panel discussions and half-day tutorial sessions. The deadline for speaking submissions is March 13.
Categories/topics for consideration for sessions and case studies include:
"Each year, we are committed to delivering the best topics and newest innovations to the storage industry at our conference," said Wayne M. Adams, Chair of the SNIA. "Whether it's the capabilities of the latest generation of solid state drives or the integrity of storage security within a cloud computing environment, the 2009 SDC event promises to address all the most demanding enterprise storage requirements that developers need to leverage and implement including standards, protocols, development tools and tested interoperability."
