SMB3 Resources

Welcome to the SMB3 Resources home page for SMB3 developers.

SMB3 is a network file protocol with rich semantics and support for a variety of reliability and scale-out features.  SMB3 is the latest iteration of the Server Message Block protocol, originally created in the 1980s for use with personal computers.  Current implementations are used in home and small-office networks, within data centers, and across large enterprises.
