Presentations are only part of what is going on at the SNIA's 2013 Storage Developers Conference. The following Plugfests are also an integral part of the program.

SNIA SMB2/SMB3 Plugfest

The purpose of this Plugfest is for vendors to bring their implementations of SMB2/SMB3 to test, identify, and fix bugs in a collaborative setting with the goal of providing a forum in which companies can develop interoperable products.

The SNIA provides and supports networks and infrastructure for the Plugfest, creating a collaborative framework for testing. The participants of the Plugfest work together to define the testing process, assuring that objectives are accomplished. For additional information see the SNIA SMB2/SMB3 Plugfest Overview.

SNIA SMB2/SMB3 Plugfest Registration

To register for the SNIA SMB2/SMB3 Plugfest please complete and return the following information.


SNIA SMB2/SMB3 Schedule

  • Plugfest Participant Setup: Saturday Sept. 14th starting at 1:00pm
  • Plugfest Testing: Sunday Sept. 15th at 8:30am through Thursday Sept. 19th at 1:00pm, open 24 hours per day
  • Plugfest Teardown: 1:00pm on Thursday Sept. 19th, with everything removed from the room by 5:00pm.

SNIA iSCSI Plugfest

The purpose of this Plugfest is for vendors to bring their implementations of iSCSI to test, identify, and fix bugs in a collaborative setting with the goal of providing a forum in which companies can develop interoperable products.

*SPECIAL NOTE: If your company is also participating in the SNIA SMB2/SMB3 Plugfest, you only need to complete one Confidentiality Agreement since it applies to both Plugfests.

Cloud Interoperability Plugfest

A part of the Cloud Interoperability Week, the 10th Cloud Interoperability Plugfest is open to participation by other standards organizations, individual developers, vendors and software framework projects. For examples, see our list of relevant software projects.

Cloud Plugfests are work-oriented gatherings of developers and participants in standards organization projects and framework project developers designed to promote interchange of methods, tools and techniques that are defined by the plugfest participants as being suitable to test features such as portability, interoperability, ease of use, self-consistency and security when used in a cloud setting.
